Police called tow trucks to start removing trucks from blockade.  They came all right.
Then they refused to tow anybody and joined the blockade.
Then the farmers came through the fields!

In Ottawa tge mayor called all tge towing companies in area to come and start removing trucks.
They all declined stating they all had covid

1) The people who organize this event clearly have experience and a

Serious logistics training. We don't get such a result by blowing up a few guys in their sideboard to leave at night.

2) They indicated that they intended to stay and the Ottawa police indicated that they were ready to let them stay. How could they organize the camp of a large group of people in their truck cabs for weeks or months without carefully preparing to meet their needs? Answer: the trucks we saw driving on the Trans-Canada Highway with trailers were not running empty. They were filled with provisions.

3) They are incredibly disciplined about the messages conveyed, in a way and with a level of intelligence that I have never seen in my life at any event organizer. They knew exactly what to expect from provincial, federal and municipal governments. They knew what to expect in detail from the media and agitators/counter-demonstrators, as well as people brought into the crowd to sow trouble, and they put in place a well-coordinated, clearly communicated and strictly enforced protocol to deal with it, which absolutely excludes any direct personal confrontation; as soon as a suspicious presence is identified, authentic protesters create a cordon around it, a space that isolates this person, and A designated interlocutor calls the Ottawa police member designated as liaison officer. We saw this method work with the guy who was the only person present with a hood that covered his entire face, and carrying the Confederate flag.

4) I was told that truck drivers arrived with food, means of communication, medical supplies and other types of survival supplies, in a method identical to that used in war zones by Canadian peacekeepers that supplied besieged cities during the Balkan War, among others. In other words, we can see here what Canadian military logistics operations in Sarajevo and Mostar looked like...

5) They "blocked" the center of the city of Ottawa, but it was not done luckily. They did so in close coordination with the Ottawa municipal police to ensure that there was - 1 - space for emergency relief vehicles to continue to operate - 2 - space so that very large groups of people on foot can continue to gather, meet, talk and walk together. It's not by chance either.

6) They ensured that criticism was responded to proactively. When opponents began screaming that someone had covered Terry Fox's statue with a flag, they ensured that there was a video of clearly identifiable trucking demonstrators carefully cleaning the statue, and that this video went viral.

7) They are incredibly precise in their messages, responding instantly and transparently to accusations, without ever trying to apologize. At the same time, the organizers maintained strict communication discipline, not granting interviews to institutional media, while remaining personally visible to people on the ground, and carefully choosing their own media outlets: see @glennbeck

They anticipated any possible attempt to silence them through the police, by anticipating the attacks. The City of Ottawa police forces being ridiculously small, entire reservist buses were brought from Toronto. Then they stayed there doing nothing... So, when the truck drivers saw that the police had a ridiculously long way to go to the toilet, they moved portable toilets to make them available to them. Yesterday, we learned that someone had proposed hay for police horses. This hay was brought to the trucks - so they knew they would need it.

9) All this leads me to think that - 1 - this operation was meticulously planned by logistics experts trained by professionals, but this is the kind of training that cannot be obtained in the private sector - the people who take care of this operation are former soldiers - and - 2 - they have a more ambitious plan than simply parking a pile of trucks along Wellington Street by doing #HonkHonk, and having a street party for a weekend. They brought enough supplies to be there for weeks. They installed canteens and services on the streets that were blocked. They are people who really know what they are doing.

They only talk to the people they have chosen to talk to. One of them was Glenn Beck: "Everyone is fed up. ”

And they don't just want to talk about Canada...

There is now no longer the slightest doubt in my mind that the fact that #freedomconvoy2022 became global in a single week is not a coincidence.

10) If the trucks have already left for Australia, there is no chance that it will be on a whim. The Australian summer is just as difficult for logistics as the Canadian prairies in winter. We don't do such a thing at short notice...

11) The last point is that memes are the key. All this looks like a kind of farce, and a damn good farce what's more. It reminds me of this old university engineer joke of leaving a Volkswagen ladybug running in the Dean's office (or as happened in real life, the time UBC's engineering department suspended a VW ladybug at the Lionsgate Bridge in Vancouver). I think the only country in the world where such a thing could have been invented is Canada, knowing exactly how it would be taken by the rest of the world. The reactions of astonishment at the fact that "placid" and "peaceful" Canadians finally cracked and embarked on this frankly hilarious response, which filled the world with hope, like a ray of sunshine piercing the smoke of Mordor, IS precisely THE MESSAGE. Canadians are in fact the only ones in the world to have so deeply rooted in their national character the ability to laugh at themselves, their leaders and their own suffering that they could bring back the darkness of hell by laughing. Memes are a very important element of the demonstration - and many realize that the dark nightmare in which they were immersed - the deep feeling of despair that enslaved the WHOLE WORLD for two years, suddenly began to dissipate. We wake up from a nightmare and remember that the world is good, that people are strong and free, that the acrid sadness of the Upside-down World does not correspond to the world given to us by God, and that we are not obliged to live there. We can simply say no. We are already free.

They took in fuel today for the trucks that needed any.
Cops were cooperative and told some to park on sidewalks

It is amazing to watch the ripple effect of this freedom convoy world wide.
It's as if everyone was waiting for a spark, and this was it.
